Wines Sales Consultants – BC Wine Studio, Vancouver, BC

 

The BC Wine Studio is expanding and is currently seeking wine sales consultants who have a passion for selling wine and good product knowledge.  These are part time positions that can easily compliment any full time career, especially for someone already well connected in the Food & Beverage industry. We are looking for brand advocates that are well connected in these key markets: Sea to Sky (North Vancouver to Pemberton), Vancouver including suburbs, Fraser Valley and Alberta.
The BC Wine Studio is a custom crush winery located in Okanagan Falls, BC.  It’s a small winery, known for crafting big wines. Our flagship brand is Siren’s Call and we also make and distribute wines from our custom crush clients such as Nagging Doubt and Noble Beast. We make a range of interesting wines in both bottling and keg format. We are experts in product development and can respond quickly to new market opportunities.

 

We have an active e commerce component to our business and are keen to grow sales to private liquor stores, restaurant and special event like concerts and festivals. We are looking for a self motivated, self starter who can take our wines to new heights within the food and beverage world.  The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to exceed sales targets; manage new and existing clients and find creative ways to introduce our brands into the market place.

 

BC Wine Studio is a subsidiary of Artisan Food and Beverage Group, a full service consulting group specializing in winemaking, brewing, wine ingredients and business strategy. We also develop, launch and sell wine and beer brands for our clients.

Job Responsibilities:
* manage wine sales in the territory
* meet and exceed targets and objectives set out by BC Wine Studio
* professionally represent the Company with the customers in the market place; liquor stores, restaurants, pubs and bars.
* Improve distribution levels, shelf space, and displays
* Educate customers about our products
* Build and maintain relationships with our customers and develop new distribution points.
* Attend promotional and special events as required

* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
* Good understanding of the wine industry
* Sommelier background preferred with good palate
* Minimum 2 years demonstrated track record in beverage sales
* Self-Motivated with strong negotiation skills
* Computer, email and social media savvy mandatory
* Must have excellent oral, written and sales presentation
* Valid Driver’s license.  Must be able to attend sales calls, customer visits and meetings.
* Current Serving It Right Certification.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize
